I am passionate about working with people and have done so in a helping capacity for nearly ten years. My journey to the counselling profession came after a process of personal growth and reflection, which I believe to be essential in leading a happy and fulfilling life. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology, and a Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology. I have worked with diverse populations including men, women, youth and families, with special focus on trauma counselling. In addition to trauma therapy, I have experience working with those struggling with addictions and generalized life challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, family conflict and the like. Having spent some time living and studying in Latin America, I hold a certificate of Advanced Proficiency in Spanish Language and am happy to work with both English and Spanish speakers.
When not counselling I can be found enjoying family time with my husband and children or pursuing my personal hobbies and interests including running, teaching dance classes and various DIY projects around the house.

At times, we might find ourselves muddling through life feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck. We might be generally unsure of steps to take to move us forward. Pain and discomfort are an unavoidable part of the human experience and, I believe, also serve as room for discovery, change and growth. It is my aim to greet you in a welcoming and intentionally non-judgmental way that allows space to securely explore yourself, your thoughts, emotions and experiences.
I have a B.A. in Child & Youth Counselling and spent over a decade working in public education supporting children and youth. After the birth of my second child, I decided to expand my education and I completed my M.A. in Counselling Psychology. I operate from a trauma-informed, humanistic and strength-based approach and have experience supporting children, youth and adults dealing with varying issues including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, grief, loss, maternal mental health, substance use and life transitions.
Please know, it is my honour to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey.
